The Starting Hands denote the two cards you are dealt pre-flop. The most common beginner's mistake is the wrong use of the starting hands. Too often cards are played, you should fold, strictly speaking. There is of course even with bad cards, the chance of uncovering the flop to give even a promising position.

But this is more luck than skill. Since we do not want to use poker as a game of chance, but the strategy should be in the foreground, we use our minds. The Starting Hands Chart is calculated from the probabilities and is thus just at the beginner level already in the medium term the surest way to profit. We therefore strongly recommend to arrange the pre-flop phase with the aid of charts. It may sound boring, only every fifth starting hand to play, but just as it lifts off from many beginners, the just too many of their starting hands - namely mostly the poor - play.

Before you play too bad starting hands out of boredom, it is better to open up an extra table and parallel play a second game. This shortens the "waiting" on the rewarding Starting Hands. Print out the Starting Hands Chart best and place it next to your computer so that you can always take a quick look at it while playing poker.

The positions can be divided into early, middle, late, small blind and big blind. The positions are underestimated by so many beginners rag. For not only the cards should decide on your playing style, but also the position. The position on the table can provide the decisive advantage - as they may prove to be a great disadvantage, of course.
